Chad now is managing two of the world's largest animal collections, Australian animals and endangered species from all over the world.

In 2020, Mogo zoo faced a very serious danger. The bushfires threatened every side of Australia. Mogo zoo was also in danger, which affected all the animals. Chad and his staff promptly prevented the worst from happening. He put the larger animals into their night houses, and the smaller ones were caught and taken inside the house of the zoo so they could be safe from the fires. Chad even took several smaller animals to his own home, including red pandas and miniature monkeys.
