Tom Holland Wants Daredevil As Part Of "Spider-Man 4"

Among the many returns and surprises of Spider-Man: No Way Home, above all Tobey Maguire who might continue to portray Spider-Man in future films, there was also the surprise appearance of Matt Murdock aka Daredevil played by Charlie Cox. Recently, the star of the movie, Tom Holland himself has also expressed his hope to see Daredevil and Spider-Man collaborate again in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, perhaps on the occasion of the already in development Spider-Man 4.

Three years after the cancellation of Marvel's Daredevil, a Netflix TV series that closed the deal with Disney, Charlie Cox reprised the role of Matt Murdock with a brief cameo in No Way Home.
Murdock, just as rumors suggested last year, was the lawyer for Peter Parker (Tom Holland) after he was accused of killing Mysterio in Spider-Man: Far From Home and besieged by the media and justice. His cameo was very short, and we didn't really have the chance to admire Daredevil in action in the MCU, but it's clear that the character will have a future. After all, Vincent d'Onofrio is back on the scene as Kingpin in the Hawkeye series on Disney+, and this fact somehow confirms that the Devil of Hell's Kitchen will soon come back and resume his battle against crime.

Tom Holland, who will return in Spider-Man 4 (working title) produced by both Marvel Studios and Sony if there's no surprise waiting ahead, hopes that the two characters will meet again in the future, and that the collaboration between Spidey and Daredevil will not be limited to a simple cameo.
"Working with Charlie was incredibly exciting. I was a big fan of the Daredevil series, and I think he’s a fantastic actor," Holland said in a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter. "He’s done a wonderful job with that character, and albeit it was a small cameo, it obviously teased the future of what could be. It was a real actors’ piece, that scene. We blocked the scene, which was essentially us just sitting there, and we read the lines. It was great. It felt like an actors’ workshop while working with people I really look up to, and Charlie was a lot of fun."

The scene, set around the dining room table with May (Marisa Tomei) and Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau), anticipated Murdock's return to the MCU, making fans of the franchise and character extremely happy.
"It was really cool to see him snap back into a character that I am really a fan of and that he has a lot of love for, obviously. So it was pretty awesome, and I hope that one day we find a way for Spider-Man and Daredevil to team up again," the actor added.
Vincent d’Onofrio, who plays Kingpin in the MCU, has also expressed his desire to one day be part of one of the Spider-Man films to reimagine one of the best-known rivalries in comic history of the two characters.
