Daredevil, Jessica Jones And Other Marvel Series Are Leaving Netflix
Netflix's Marvel series, including Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage, are now ready to return to "home base" years after their release. In other words, the catalog of Netflix may soon deprive itself of some flagship products over the past years on this platform.
As fans already know, shortly after the release of The Avengers (2012), Marvel made an agreement with Netflix to create some TV series that essentially replicate on the small screen what had happened in the cinema in previous years, which later culminate in the crossover titled The Defenders (2017).
However, in 2018, shortly before the publication of the second season of The Punisher, the collaboration between Marvel and Netflix was interrupted and Marvel Studios began to develop a TV series for Disney+.
As GamesRadar reported, now when users go to Netflix and start watching any episode of any Marvel show, they will be met by a quick message that reads: "This show is available until 1st March", which means after 1st March, things will change.
At that point, the leaders of the MCU could decide to make these series completely canonical as after the returns of Charlie Cox and Vincent d’Onofrio as Daredevil and Kingpin in Spider-Man: No Way Home and Hawkeye already suggested.
If the canonicity of the series is confirmed, this means that in the future, we may soon see other popular characters from the "Netflix saga" such as Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, Finn Jones as Danny Rand, and obviously Jon Bernthal in the role of Frank Castle.
