Explained Plot & Details Reveals In Doctor Strange 2 Second Official Teaser

During the 2022 Super Bowl, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness gets a complete trailer, revealing ten new insights about the narrative and characters. As the multiverse becomes more prominent in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the upcoming Doctor Strange movie will once again put the idea front and center, ongoing story elements from the first film and Spider-Man: No Way Home, as well as the MCU's Disney+ series. Not only will the Doctor Strange 2 Super Bowl teaser have monsters and Doctor Strange variants, but it will also feature at least one famous character from another Marvel movie franchise.
nullDoctor Strange's status as a sorcerer was established during his first solo film, but he confirmed it in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, where he proved effective to The Avengers in their confrontations against Thanos. Doctor Strange 2 will present Stephen Strange with his most difficult struggle yet, as the implications of his universe-altering magic from No Way Home will once again put his and others' realities at risk. Doctor Strange, on the other hand, will not be alone.

Wanda Maximoff, now the Scarlet Witch, will accompany Doctor Strange and Wong, still trying to come to terms with her sad plotline in WandaVision. America Chavez, a Marvel Comics heroine from another world who will become a defender of the standard universe, will make her MCU premiere in Doctor Strange 2. With the multiverse re-opened, it's only natural that at least one Doctor Strange variant, known as Defender Strange, will assist the normal variant.

America Chavez

nullA multiversal creature strangles America Chavez early in the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Super Bowl teaser, probably in Stephen Strange's hallucination. It's unclear how, if at all, Doctor Strange 2 will alter America Chavez's background, thus she may not have abilities just yet. Chavez, on the other hand, is visible throughout the teaser, displaying her extraordinary power from the books.

Dr. Christine Palmer’s Wedding

nullDoctor Strange in the Madness Multiverse Dr. Christine Palmer (Rachel McAdams), Stephen Strange's friend, coworker, and romantic interest appears to be getting married in the Super Bowl teaser. Because Strange fell at Thanos' Snap and wasn't resurrected for another 5 years, Palmer could have lived and moved on. The sequence is most likely set early in the movie, before Strange's universe is invaded by terrible monsters from the multiverse.

Rintrah

nullAs an ominous fog rises over them, Rintrah, a Minotaur-like species, is depicted amid the other Masters of the Mystic Arts. Rintrah is a Doctor Strange comic book character who worked as Strange's protégé for a short time. It's unclear how significant Rintrah's part will be in Doctor Strange 2. Rintrah, like America Chavez, is a character from another world in the comics. It's hardly unexpected that one of the Masters of the Mystic Arts hails from a different reality, even before Strange floods the multiverse, since the original Doctor Strange demonstrated that the Masters of the Mystic Arts receive their talents from parallel realities.

Mordo Is Using Ultron Drones?

nullKarl Mordo reappears, as predicted at the end of 2016's Doctor Strange, to purge the world of magic. Mordo claims to have kidnapped Doctor Strange and is holding him captive with a team of customized Ultron robots. Mordo could have retrieved their shells from the rubble of Sokovia and infused them with his sorcery, making them his minions. Another theory is that Mordo just used conventional methods to reconfigure the robots, foregoing his own magical abilities in his drive to eradicate magic.

The Return Of Patrick Stewart As Professor X

nullSir Patrick Stewart emerges as Professor Charles Xavier, often known as Professor X, is undoubtedly the most surprising and exciting part of the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness teaser. Stewart's portrayal as the X-Men creator was originally featured in the 2000 film X-Men by 20th Century Fox. Given the multiverse notion of Doctor Strange 2 and the multiverse heroes and villains in No Way Home, Stewart returning his legendary role in the MCU isn't shocking. While Stewart's voice is recognizable in the Doctor Strange 2 teaser, the footage doesn't provide a good glimpse of Professor X, possibly reserving it for another video or the movie's theatrical release.

Strange Supreme

nullAs revealed in the first Doctor Strange trailer at the conclusion of No Way Home, an evil form of Stephen Strange will return in Doctor Strange 2. It's unclear whether this wicked Strange will be the same variety featured in Marvel's What If...?, Strange Supreme, or a new variant. Strange Supreme rehabilitated himself in the What If...? season finale, making this Strange version a possible partner. Doctor Strange battling an evil version of himself will make for an interesting and intriguing scenario in either situation.

A Mysterious Glowing Figure

nullA glowing human figure soars across a kaleidoscopic dimension of reality later in the video. Some may think that this person is the Human Torch or another Doctor Strange comic book character such as Superior Iron Man or Captain Marvel variants. With the universe reactivated, the person might wind up becoming a hero from another dimension, similar to Professor X from the Fox X-Men movie. However, when this unknown individual fights Scarlet Witch, they may misinterpret her motives or just be a malicious character rather than a version of Johnny Storm.

Gargantos

nullGargantos, a huge tentacled creature, is also depicted in the video. At several parts in the teaser, Gargantos is seen attacking America Chavez and tossing a bus at Doctor Strange. While Gargantos is most likely a monstrosity from another realm in Doctor Strange's Multiverse of Madness, the entity is a comic book foe of Namor the Sub-Mariner. The appearance of Gargantos in Doctor Strange 2 encourages conjecture that Namor will make his MCU entrance in Phase 4.

Mordo Vs Strange

nullKarl Mordo is featured striking a confined Doctor Strange at the end of the Multiverse of Madness Super Bowl promo. Mordo's fight with Strange is unsurprising given his current objective and his comic counterpart's enmity against Stephen. Mordo, for better or worse, has more reason for his objective than ever before, because of Doctor Strange's multiversal interference. Given Strange and Mordo's camaraderie in the previous movie, there is a chance that the two may become partners once more to protect Earth from a bigger threat than either one of them could manage alone.

Zombie Strange

nullOne of the trailer's closing images depicts an unnerving vision of what looks to be yet another Doctor Strange version. This Stephen Strange looks to have merged with dark monsters from another dimension, contaminating him and turning him into a zombie. While this zombie Doctor Strange is most likely a variation, he might be the mainstream version in some type of torment or degeneration. This scene, like the rest of the new character and plot reveals in the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness teaser, suggests an engagingly horrible second solo trip for Doctor Strange.
