Doctor Strange 2 Merch Teases The Presence Of An Alternative Avengers Team
As fans already notice from the first official trailer of the film, in the long-awaited Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness we will see at least two versions of the protagonist, namely the Strange Supreme seen in the trailer finale and Defender Strange. The latter had been widely anticipated thanks to an action figure from the Marvel Legends series. However, it may not be the only clue coming from the film's merchandise.
In fact, a t-shirt spotted on Amazon recently has revealed a new version of the Avengers logo - which would seem to identify a different team from the one we are used to. Notably, the good's description also reads: "This Avengers t-shirt features the logo of Earth's Mightiest Heroes who might come from a whole new Multiverse."
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is directed by Sam Raimi with the screenplay written by Michael Waldron, fresh from the success of the Loki series. Initially, the movie was to be directed by Scott Derrickson - former director of the first episode, but afterward he rejected the offer due to creative differences while remaining involved as an executive producer. Raimi's longtime collaborator composer Danny Elfman was commissioned to create the soundtrack.
