Japan is famous for its relentless creativity. Not only are the Japanese capable of inventing products that can change people's lives, but they also create quite bizarre and stupid-looking items under the moniker Chindogu, or "unusual tool". Chindogu were invented by a Japanese inventor and editor Kenji Kawakami. They must be inventions of everyday life, but they are useless things that might irritate users at times.
Below is a list of some of the most "cool" Chindogu. Chopsticks with a small electric fan attached keep ramen noodles cool en route to the mouth. A pair of shoes with inverted umbrellas affixed protect them from water in the rain. Despite being inventions for everyday life problems, they are too complicated and odd to use.
