At the age of 10, most kids just immerse themselves in toys or cartoons, while Micah Harrigan has already started a business of his own. Under the burning sun of summer, Micah opened a lemonade stand named Micah's Mixx with 5-6 flavors of lemonade and cool tea on the sidewalk of Sigel Street in South Philadelphia.

The idea of selling lemonade in the summer might sound like a young boy's pastime, but Micah is really serious about it. He even has a debit card, a tax identification number to pay taxes, and a social media page of nearly 7,000 likes to promote the shop.
Initially, Micah set up a small lemonade stand down the street, selling them in plastic bottles and bags, but he realized this was not cost-effective. Then he switched to plastic cups with lids and the store has been selling better ever since.

Everything had been going well until the COVID-19 pandemic spread, and Micah was "stuck" in the house. However, he did not just sit still and play, instead, he secretly implemented his plan to return to the market. As soon as the quarantine restrictions was loosened, Micah and his mother opened a stall on the sidewalk, displaying cups of iced tea and cool lemonade for sale. Each cup is labeled Micah's Mixx for about $3-4.
Despite the pandemic, Micah's sales throughout the summer of 2020 are still skyrocketing and wildly successful. He sold 1,500 cups of lemonade and tea, making thousands of dollars. Then Micah decided to expand his business by raising funds and buying a minibus for mobile sales.

It is known that he succeeded and bought a minibus for $ 4,000. After that, he continued to raise funds so that everyone could contribute to repair and equip the necessary equipment with the goal of approximately $10,000 USD. Micah shared: "Once again I seek your help. I will use this minibus to go around the city to sell lemonade."
The 10-year-old hopes that after finishing repairing the bus, he can provide free drinks to hundreds of homeless people in Philadelphia. Currently, he has raised nearly $8,000 and is slowly approaching his goal. Going further, he hopes to save the money and give it to his mother, who raised him and helped him make drinks for the lemonade stand. Micah wants to study at Morehouse College, acknowledging the expensive college tuition.

Chef Michael Vincent Ferreri at Res Ipsa Cafe is one of Micah's "friends". Ferrei commented: "He puts a lot of thought into the product, has a service mindset and works very hard. Although his mother is around, most of the time Micah does it on his own because he is confident in himself. I once praised him saying, "You're so good, all you need to do is maintain it", and he replied, "I know. Even Amazon started from a garage."
