Ed Asner, Voice Actor Behind Carl Fredricksen From ‘Up’ Passed Away

We all have a favorite film that always has a special place in our hearts. Up, a Pixar spectacular in 2009 is most likely one of them. Carl Fredericksen, together with the floating home borne by balloons and Russell’s vitality, is fundamental to the film’s success. On August 29, the American actor who voiced the grumpy character, Carl Fredricksen, passed away. He was 91 years old.

Asner served as the president of the Screen Actors Guild. Throughout his life, he accompanied the development of American television and is considered a legend of cinema. He was most remembered for his role as Lou Grant, a newscaster on the successful American comedy “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” which help him win an Emmy award.
