This Feral Cat Refused To Leave Her Sick Brother So Rescuer Saved Them Together

Fetty used to be a pitiful street kitten who suffered horrible eye issues and serious upper respiratory infection at such a young age. He was luckless, but lucky at the same time. His luckiness arrived in the shape of Storm – his sister, best friend, protector, guardian angel.

Flatbush Cats’ founder Will Zweigart met that incredible duo back in 2017 when the organization was quite new and did not have much resources, help or volunteers as it does nowadays. Even though he mostly focused on TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) programs, he still couldn’t ignore a sick cat like Fetty. Will knew right away that the tabby wouldn’t be able to survive on the streets without sight and a sense of smell, so he decided to trap and healed him.
And since Fetty and Storm were already inseparable back then, Will had no choice but to rescued them together (yes, Storm went straight into the trap herself just to be with her little bro).

The two feline siblings were already past the socialization window so it wasn’t easy to gain their trust. Fetty was really scared of humans, while Storm was a bit spicy too. However, after plenty of love, care, and chicken baby food, the two lovely kitties quickly revealed their soft side. They became mild and friendly much faster than Will thought.

After removing the blind eye and treating for upper respiratory infection, Fetty felt much better, especially with his loving sister by his side. They gradually learned to enjoy the comforts of their new indoor life together, and they started to love humans wholeheartedly somehow.

Needless to say, Fetty and Storm were adopted out together as a pair. Even when it’s hard to say goodbye, Will knew these two love bugs deserved their own family where they could be the center of attention all the time, and he gave them just that.
