The Twilight actor received a small role in Vanity Fair in 2004, playing Reese Witherspoon's son. However, none of the scenes starring Robert made it into the finished film. And it was during the special screening that the actor learned about it. “I’m sitting there going, ’Ummm...really?’ No one had told me that I had been cut out.”

Tim Roth appeared in a number of Quentin Tarantino films, including Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, and The Hateful Eight. He was invited by the director to appear in his tenth movie, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, where he played the butler Jay Sebring. But the movie ended up being too long (about 5 hours). All of the scenes starring Roth's character were cut because Tarantino preferred to concentrate on other storylines.

Tobey Maguire portrayed a writer in Life of Pi who gave the main character an interview. However, the director made the decision to skip the scene because he believed that Maguire was too well-known and would draw unnecessary attention to his minor role.
