14 Ridiculous Film Goofs That Leave Viewers Scratching Their Heads In Disbelief

For making a movie, hundreds of people, including the cast and crew have to work for hours and hours on the set. The process can last one year or two. Despite the huge effort, making film errors are inevitable. From a mysteriously disappearing coffee cup to the presence of sunglasses at the time they weren’t invented yet, these blinders can unintentionally steal the spotlight from the plot, being comical and distracting from the movie’s intended magic.

However, what's fascinating is how these ridiculous movie mistakes have become the subject of online discussions and fan forums, uniting viewers in laughter. Despite the filmmakers' best efforts, these goofs remind us that even in the world of cinema, perfection remains an elusive goal, and sometimes, the most entertaining moments arise from unintentional hilarity on the big screen.

#1. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1

In the scene where Bella calls Rosalie, we notice that she doesn’t open her contacts list and dial the number. She just puts it to her ear. The lock screen is visible even when they are talking.

#2. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

Watch the airplane scene again, we can see Rick can mysteriously adjust his hair without the help of his hands.

#3. Home Alone

Kevin bought a lot of things at the supermarket but how a little boy can easily carry all of them? Each container may weigh at least 3 pounds.

Another interesting detail is that a red container with detergent is seen in his basket, but when his bags tare on the way home, we didn’t see any red container. In the next shoot, he uses the same red cone at home.

#4. Beauty and the Beast

The story was written in 1740 when only women who didn’t respect the social norm could walk around without a hat.

During the entire film, other women wear headscarves while Belle doesn’t. The women of Gaston and Defou didn’t wear anything on their heads while resting. It’s a wonder why Bella was called weird.

#5. Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows

When feeling insulted, Mary splashes her glass into Sherlock’s face. Notice his hair, you can realize that the hair next to his forehead is dry but wet after seconds. Drops and water trains have very different positions.

#6. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle

The cup of coffee next to Bethany seems to itself move though she never touches it when talking on the phone. The cup handle changes its position in different shoots, including a part of the table and the entire table.

#7. Titanic

At the beginning of the movie, the researchers find a portrait of a girl with a diamond necklace. The necklace looks exactly like the “Heart of the Ocean”. However, the picture found later and the picture of Rose Jack drew is quite different.

#8. The Martian

When being alone on Mars, Mark Watney stumbled upon an abandoned Pathfinder, dormant since 1997. Ingeniously, he revived the transmitter, beaming a signal back to Earth, becoming a beacon of hope in the vastness of space. But, how a botanist knows the way to use a 40-year-old device and connect it with modern wires?

#9. The Island

During the journey of escaping a lab that produces clowns, the main characters had to crawl through vent shafts and climb rusty ladders. However, they are nothing to their clothes. When they are on the surface, they are incredibly white. But when reaching the town, they surprisingly are dusty.

#10. Van Helsing

While talking to Anna, the vampire Alira's earrings appear and disappear without reason. It seems that the edit team stitched different takes together.

#11. The Hunger Games

During the Tribute Parade, many flowers are at the passing chariots, but they disappear so quickly when the chariots reach the balcony where President Snow is.

#12. Alice in Wonderland

Alice’s short chain mysteriously disappears and no one where it’s missed. When looking down the rabbit hole, it’s seen on her neck, but after seconds, it’s gone. It happens before she changes her size.

#13. Passengers
