1. The Opening Credits of the Walking Dead Reflect the Tone of the Plot

The Walking Dead’s opening credits show us the tone of each season. From the beginning of season 8, the credits look more and more decrepit. However, they were changed into stone in season 9, indicating that the characters would gain new energy.

2. The Braids In Game Of Thrones

All Dothraki warriors have long hair and braids and they had to cut off a braid after each time they lose a fight. That means the stronger the warrior, the longer their braids will be. Daenerys Targaryen followed this tradition after she became the queen of the Khalasar. The more victories she has, the more braids her hair gets.
One Internet user even joked about this, saying it’s lucky that the showrunners didn’t put bells in her braids as they did in the books. Otherwise, her dragon flights would sound like a Christmas sleigh.

In the BBC show Sherlock, Watson types with only 2 of his fingers. This is a reference to the typing technique of Victorian times, which is the era that the original Sherlock Holmes books take place.

4. Gregory House’s Address In House, M.D.

Speaking of Sherlock Holmes, Gregory House’s address in House, M.D. is 221 Baker Street, apt B. Baker Street is the same street where Holmes lives. The showrunners confirmed this reference several times before, saying that House was inspired by Sherlock Holmes.

5. The Coffee Machine In House, M.D.

Another cool detail in House, M.D. is the coffee machine. On this particular machine, there was a label with the quote “Good Coffee, Cheaper than Prozac!” on it. Prozac is an antidepressant that the show mentions quite often.

6. The Visual Signs In The Handmaid’s Tale

The women in The Handmaid’s Tale are slaves. Their educational rights are taken away, so they can’t study, read, or write. Because most of them are illiterate, all the food labels in the movie have no text on them, only images. The STOP sign also has a picture of a hand instead of the familiar word on it.

If you’re a fan of classic horror movies or a fan of Steven Spielberg’s works, then you probably find the uniform of Jim Hopper from Stranger Things looking kinda familiar. Turns out this outfit is almost the exact replica of sheriff Martin Brody’s uniform in the 1980s film Jaws.

In this particular scene of Breaking Bad, Hank is holding a cup by the lid very carefully. By holding the cup this way, he can avoid removing Gustavo Fring’s fingerprints.

Black Mirror is filled with references to other episodes, and the movie Bandersnatch is no exception. In this scene, you can see the Metal Hedd poster, which is the title of the fifth episode of season 4.
