13 Celebrities Who Provided Their Movie Reference By Using Special Outfits

Keira Knightley wore Chanel resembled a sugar plum with its texture to the premiere of The Nutcracker and the Four Realms. The actress wanted to remind everyone of her character, Sugar Plum Fairy. 

For the premiere of Beauty and the Beast, Emma Watson dressed up in a black jumpsuit featured with a rose on its waistline. The rose referred to the enchanted one that is connected with the life of Belle’s lover. The actress's hairstyle was complemented with hairpins in the shape of leaves.

At the Dune movie premiere in 2021, Zendaya made an appearance wearing an asymmetrical Rick Owens outfit and resembled her alien lead character. 

On-screen Cinderella, Lily James, wore Jimmy Choo shoes that required hundreds of crystals to the movie premiere. After the premiere, the Cinderella-style shoes appeared on the shelves of brand-name stores.

At the premiere of Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Angelina Jolie put on black flowy Versace dress with a silver scorpion. Despite being a dark fairy, Maleficent has a kind heart. 

Like her on-screen mother, Elle Fanning gave tribute to her character Aurora by donning a Gucci dress and glove featured with drops that were hinting at Aurora’s fateful trauma.

At the Ingrid Goes West premiere, the actresses essentially shared the same dress. This choice served as a nod to the film, in which Aubrey’s character was obsessed with Olsen’s, or rather, her image on social media. While celebs often are ridiculed when donning the same outfit, in this case, the girl’s sense of humor was only praised.

Everyone was surprised by the futuristic style dress made from thin wire that Delevingne wore. The actress took fashion to a new level because this outfit didn’t even have fabric. The waves on the dress and the actress’s hair well created a kind of intergalactic look that perfectly matched the space theme of the film.

The actor wore a denim jacket with patches to remind everyone of his character in the biopic Rocketman. When creating this jacket, the costume designers were probably inspired by Elton John's (played by Taron) clothes.

At the premiere of Captain Marvel, Brie Larson wore a dress and earrings that were decorated with stars. 8-pointed star í the symbol of the superheroine. 

The actor gave tribute to his film, The Matrix, by donning an ombre-effect suit whose colors resembled the “calling card” -  the constantly changing digit combinations.

Timothée Chalamet donned an outfit with 2 Cartier brooches on it to the Venice Film Festival. The jewelry's style perfectly matched Dune's artistic universe. The first brooch resembled a sword from 1913, while the second was an art-deco bug that mimicked the planet Arrakis' flying devices.
