They reference characters, motifs, or instantly recognizable color palettes as a way to pay homage to their films. 

Zendaya is a typical example of celebs who have dabbed in the art of the fashion-film Easter Egg. Fans have seen her debut a series of Arrakis and arachnid-inspired outfits alike, sequined gowns and color-blocked suits.
