Although sharks, spiders, and snakes receive the majority of the negative press, Australia's fearsome reputation is actually the result of an amazing variety of predators and venomous animals. It's home to the world's most venomous snake: the inland taipan ! It's the only place you'd hear wacky phrases like "A dingo ate my shark!" or "We had one spider drag away our pet Labrador one year...".
