Countries That Have Scored 100 Or More Goals At The FIFA World Cup

Competing at the FIFA World Cup is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for every nation to represent their country in one of the world's most prestigious sporting events. However, some countries are so used to competing in international football tournaments that they break records and become regular participants in this sport.
Brazil, Germany, and Italy, to name a few, have made it through the FIFA World Cup, which is pretty amazing. Brazil is the only non-European country to have won the record five times. This is amazing for such a football developed country and in this post we have highlighted the top six countries with 100 or more goals in World Cups.

#1 Spain - 100

Spain is the latest addition to this list, having beaten Costa Rica 7-0 to help La Roja reach 100 goals at the FIFA World Cup. The European country has participated in 16 FIFA World Cups.
They were the first European country to win the FIFA World Cup that was not held in Europe. And, between 2008 and 2012, they have won the FIFA Team of the Year three times, the second most of any country after Brazil.

France is one of the most powerful countries, with a strong squad and many legends that have won the World Cup. Despite having won the World Cup twice, France is one of the few teams to score the most goals at the FIFA World Cups.
They have appeared at the FIFA World Cup 15 times, ranking sixth in the world. Their most recent victory was at the 2018 World Cup, where Deschamps joined Franz Beckenbauer and Mario Zagallo as World Cup champions as both coach and player.

#3 Italy - 127

Italy is on par with Germany in the most number of World Cups (4), having participated in the tournament 18 times out of 22 and reached six finals. They are the fourth highest scoring team in the FIFA World Cup.
The country has dropped in rank after failing to qualify for the 2018 World Cup and more recently the 2022 World Cup.

#4 Argentina - 138

South America's second most successful nation, having won the World Cup twice in 1978 and 1986. The South American hero has participated in 17 of FIFA's 22 World Cups. Lost three finals in 1930, 1990 and 2014. They are the third-highest scorer in World Cup history.
From Diego Maradona to Lionel Messi, this country has produced world-class players. They recently won the Copa America and are considered contenders to win the World Cup in 2022.

#5 Brazil - 226

Brazil is the only country to have lifted the world cup five times and the only country to appear in every edition of the competition.  21 times between 1930 and 2022. Their most recent World Cup win came in 2002 and they are the only South American team to do so since.
Brazil remains the only country that has never participated in the World Cup play-offs and is the only country to have won it on four different continents: Europe (1958 Sweden), South America (1962 Chile), North America (Sweden). 1970 Mexico and 1994  United States) and Asia (2002 Korea/Japan).

#6 Germany - 230

Despite being divided between West and East Germany in the past, Germany has been a successful country in this regard. With a great track record of converting 25.4% of his shots in the 4 tournaments he participated in. They have 4 World Cup titles, the last time they won in 2014. Miroslav Klose of Germany is the World Cup top scorer with 16 goals.
They are also the only country to score the most goals at World Cups, have attended 19 World Cups and are still a long-standing team.
