Actors have a lot riding on every role that they portray. Thus, to be successful, they need to provide their very best performance. The vast majority of parts, however, were not created with a specific actor in mind, and a director may occasionally insist on casting an actor even though the actor does not in any way resemble the character they are trying to cast.
