Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is the last movie in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It was also the long-awaited sequel to the first Marvel feature movie focusing on a Black superhero - T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman). The sequel tells the story of Wakanda - the most powerful country in the world while their king T'Challa passes away and what happens afterwards.
Without the country’s protector, Wakanda has to face several threats from multiple countries. One of which is Talokan, a secretive underwater kingdom with a powerful Mutant ruler, Namor (Tenoch Huerta). He is also the main protagonist in this movie.
Before the premiere of the movie, analysts predicted it might earn $365 million in the opening week. In fact, it grossed more than $330 million in global ticket sales. Within the MCU, Black Panther ranked as the 2nd highest-earning movie, losing the first place to Doctor Strange: Multiverse Of Madness. It also performed better than Thor: Love And Thunder.

#2. It Has Made More $550 Million From International Theaters

It stays on top of the box office in major markets including the US, UK, Germany, Australia and Taiwan. The movie was banned in Mainland China for several reasons. However, it does not affect its global success.
As the movie is still on air in most countries, it is highly possible that it might gross more than $400 million worldwide. Currently, it has already made more than $258 million. Solely in the US, $288 million is the last result after the first two weeks. However, the upcoming U.S. holiday might stop people from going to the theater. After Phase 4, Marvel Studios and Disney are planning for several feature movies and TV series on Disney+ for Phase 5 of this universe. Reportedly, there will be The Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3, Ant-man And The Wasp: Quantumania and The Marvels in 2023. So far, Spider-Man: No Way Home is the only movie in this phase that earned almost $2 billion. Doctor Strange 2 comes second with more than $955 million worldwide. Seemingly, it will take this studio a lot more time to break their record with Avengers: Endgame.
