Contrary to popular belief, acting isn’t an easy job for both actors and the crew. Some actors are a delight to be on set with, some are so difficult that it feels like a nightmare to work with them. Acting can be a lot of fun with the right people, or it can be a total disaster if you encounter difficult diva queens whose egos are bigger than the sun. Their co-stars can’t stand them, and the crew doesn’t want to work with them.
So let’s see which actor was adored by everyone on the set and which one acted like a completely spoiled brat. Are your favorite celebs a delight, or are they a nightmare to work with?

1. Nightmare: Mike Myers

Unlike his cheerful personality in Austin Powers, Mike Myers has a reputation for being difficult on set. His costar Amy Hill claimed her experience working with him was horrible and nightmarish. In an interview with AV Club, the actress shared her story about what happened behind the scenes of The Cat in the Hat.
She recalled that Mike Myers didn’t talk to anybody on set and just walk away when people came to him. He even had a guy to hold his chocolates in a little Tupperware. Whenever Myers needed chocolate, the guy would come running over and give him what he wanted.

On the other hand, we have Tom Hanks, who is one of the most loved actors in Hollywood. The guy is just so wholesome that people have no reason to hate him. He is nice, generous, and genuine. Emma Watson confirmed how much of a good person he was in an interview with E! News.
At first, the actress didn’t believe Hanks would live up to his reputation of being an ultra-nice guy, but she was quickly proven wrong. According to Watson, Hanks was a “generous and funny and easy-going” person. She was so happy that he was 100% wholesome.

3. Nightmare: Russell Crowe

Russell Crowe was known for his reputation as a difficult actor and a troublemaker on film sets. He was quite hot-headed too, which made him even harder to work with. However, one director who worked with Crowe stood out and defended him, saying that Crowe was difficult when he was not trusting.
The director, Curtis Hanson, further added that Crowe was very committed to his characters and he only acted difficult when other people didn’t take the characters seriously.

4. Delight: Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson

Despite his intimidating appearance, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is an absolute angel on movie sets. His costar Zac Efron shared his experience working with The Rock on Baywatch: "He’s a funny dude. He’s always expanding, and he just gets better as he goes, like a flower that never stops blooming. But it was great, he was fantastic."
Alvin Streeter also complemented Dwayne in an interview with CNBC, saying he was a very dedicated person and tried very hard for his roles. His costars could even feel his intensity when they were working around him.

5. Nightmare: Lea Michele

Lea Michele wasn’t a nice girl in Glee, and she certainly wasn’t a nice girl in real life. Many of her costars came forward to share their experiences with the actor on set. Samantha Ware accused Michele of "traumatic microaggressions" that made Samantha’s time on the show a "living hell."
Heather Morris also admitted working with Michele was very unpleasant. Other members of the cast and the crew claimed that she mistreated and bullied them. According to them, she was a nightmare to work with. It seemed like her ego was too much for everyone.

On the other hand, Meryl Streep never lets her fame get to her head despite being one of the best actresses of our time. Her costars were blown away by her talent and her great personality in real life.
Anna Kendrick, who worked with Streep in the movie Into the Woods, praised the actress in an interview with Good Morning America. She even thought it was silly to say Streep was a great person. To her and the crew, saying “Meryl is so good” felt like saying “Oxygen is so great." It was an obvious fact.

Julia Roberts is a famous actress too, but she doesn’t seem to be as nice. After working with the actress on the set of Peter Pan, Steven Spielberg claimed she was difficult to work with. Julia Roberts was going through a breakup with then-fiancé Kiefer Sutherland at that time, so her negative feelings got the better of her.
Her behavior on set was so terrible that people gave her the nickname "Tinkerhell." Spielberg shared his experience working with her, saying "It was an unfortunate time for us to work together. But I think Julia is a really, really good actress.”

Despite being a famous movie star, Hugh Jackman is a pretty down to Earth guy. People who have worked with him gave the actor many high remarks. Director Tom Hooper told The Hollywood Reporter that Hugh Jackman was so nice it was unbelievable.
He also recalled that no matter how much Jackman had to work, he was always gracious with the crew. The actor was simply an amazing person to work with, Hooper concluded.

9. Nightmare: Teri Hatcher

On the contrary, Teri Hatcher’s costars all agreed that the actress was a nightmare to work with. She didn’t get along with not one, not two, but all of her costars in the TV show Desperate Housewives. Nicollette Sheridan even called Hatcher "the meanest woman in the world."
Other actors and crew members received farewell gifts after the series wrapped in 2012, except for Hatcher. Yikes!

Nowadays we know Keanu Reeves as one of the most wholesome guys on Earth, and he deserves that title. Everybody who worked with him before only had nice things to talk about him.
To give Gene Hackman a chance, Reeves took a major pay cut in The Replacements. Instead of bragging about it, Reeves praised his costar saying “I got to have some really great acting experiences this past year, like working with Mr. Hackman." What a selfless guy!
