18 Marvel Movie Characters And Their Original Comics Comparison
The MCU films have been produced by Kevin Feige since the comic books with the same name first entered Hollywood in 2007. The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) primarily borrows from comics, although not entirely. Major incidents that occurred in both the comics and the film universe took distinct courses of action.
Kevin has chosen the greatest actors and actresses to play the comic book characters, ensuring that they appear precisely like the comics. Furthermore, he has designed each character in accordance with their equivalent. While being completely unique, they’re also quite difficult to create. With the aid of all of them, Kevin has successfully turned comic books into live-action movies.
However, due to real-life adaptation, they can’t replicate 100% of the original looks from the comics. The appearance of the characters differs from the comics, and it shows. Generally speaking, both secondary characters and prominent heroes have different portrayals in the MCU than they do in the comics.
So, take a look at 18 characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and how they appeared in the original comic books.
Scott is essentially identical in both the Movies, and the comics, except in the comics, he has those little insect antennae that give him a more ant-like appearance.
In the comic version, this delectable cinnamon bun that we last saw in Infinity War really resembles a warrior more. Mantis wears a less organic leather costume in the movies. It even has a little resemblance to Loki's fashion.
This is the most crucial component of Hawkeye's costume: the arrows are where they should be. Even though the MCU version of Hawkeye doesn't wear a helmet or has as many colors in his clothing as the comic book version, he is still a fan favorite.
The God of Thunder, not the God of Hummers. The helmet has been missing from Thor's bag the entire time! It appears that during his combat sequence with The Hulk in Thor: Ragnarok, he most closely resembles the comic books. However, at this point, he has already misplaced both the hammer and his lovely long hair. The outfit stays very true to the original in the remaining scenes of the movie, and Chris Hemsworth perfectly nails the godlike appearance.
God of mischief, Thor's older brother, and Odin's son (adopted, as we all remember). Thank heavens Loki's helmet has survived his MCU-ification!
Wakanda always! Loss of His Majesty's cloak and less gold accents. Black Panther from the MCU seems to be more understated and perhaps even more fashionable. You cannot triumph over complete black.
In the movies, the Vision lost his vivid hues and darkened. The suit is pretty similar to the one in the comics in terms of design, though.
In each new Spider-Man film, Spidey's aunt becomes younger and younger. She most certainly isn't the stereotypical elderly woman in Homecoming. She resembles a "hot Italian woman," to use the words of the man from the business next door.
Even if Tilda Swinton doesn't have a beard in Doctor Strange, she would still look awesome if she did! But the Ancient One in the comics is an elderly guy, but the one in the movie...isn't she?
She may have a canonical relationship with The Vision, but it's probably for the best that she lost her mask or hat in the film. It's unlikely the item would be very helpful in battle scenarios.
Robert Downey Jr. was born to portray Tony Stark, according to Stan Lee, who has said this several times. And we wholeheartedly concur. Jon Favreau tried to stay as true to the comics as he could with his look, and the rest is history.
Stop crying! We have to have faith that she will be okay, just like the others were. Peter Quill would undoubtedly have preferred for her to wear the comic book attire, but isn't it a touch dated now?
Cap resembles himself in the comic books quite a bit in the first film. the same hues, helmet, and shield (well, not a vibranium steel alloy one). He still has his dark blue navy suit in his most recent films, along with a few others, but Chris Evans perfectly captures the character's energy and jaw.
The comic book character Bucky resembles Robyn Hood more than a soldier. But the Winter Soldier in both the comic book and the film is exactly the same. The Russo Brothers like to maintain the truth.
Although Taika Waititi left the Grandmaster with human skin, Ragnarok shows off his gorgeous makeup! In the movie, he doesn't wear any gloves at all. Is it because Jeff Goldblum has so much force in his seemingly little movements?
Groot from the MCU is more of a free-spirited hippy. Seriously, why does he need clothing in the first place?
The new female on the street should be avoided. It appears like the character from the film is tougher and doesn't give a damn about her haircut (is there a ponytail in the correct picture?). But the movie's Valkyrie still wears the gorgeous Asgardian cloak from the comics!
While Heimdall may be a vegetarian in the film, he does not appear to be donning faux furs in the comics. This man is holding a sword in addition to his trusted helmet. Alas! Someone who prioritizes safety!
