Artist Describes His Daily Life Through Funny Comics To Amuse People

Unlike other comic artists who want their names to be widely known, the creator behind the webcomic "Sobering Mirror" chooses to be anonymous for his readers. What we can know: "I'm an engineer at a well-known global software company," says the artist. So, for this Engineer, drawing comics is just for fun only.
Despite not being a professional comic artist, the illustrator of "Sobering Mirror" webcomic still captures comic fans' attention thanks to adorable graphic style and relatable stories. In detail, his Instagram page, where he posts his illustrations, has currently gained 119k followers. With such a huge number of followers, Engineer can earn a lot of money from his comics. However, he didn't save money for himself but decided that 50% of the profits he earned from Sobering Mirror on all platforms would be donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. What a meaningful action! Also, this artist is a humble man. He never recognizes him as an artist. "I always laugh when anyone uses [the word] 'art' to refer to what I'm doing with Sobering Mirror. I'm very clearly not an artist, and my comics reflect that" shares the man. "If anything, I'd consider myself a writer who happens to use crude drawings as a vehicle to express his thoughts."
The artist says that his inspiration typically comes from his own life. He frequently makes observations about life that most people either don't notice or want to admit. That's how he named his comics series Sobering Mirror. "I'm holding up a metaphorical mirror to the reader, and the realization that they can see themselves in my jokes is – you guessed it – sobering," adds Engineer.
