Touching Moment Little Girl Sings ‘You Are My Sunshine’ To Her Dying Cat

We think that you need to have an extra-large box of tissues close at hand because this video will make you cry. The video shows a touching moment when a little girl sings ‘You Are My Sunshine’ to her dying cat.

The 4-year-old Abby and her cat Bailey had been together since Abby was just a newborn baby. Bailey had been a beloved member of the family for 14 years. The cat is especially close to young Abby and the two shared a special bond. Abby even loves singing and reading to her tabby cat. Amazingly, Bailey seems to understand every word purrfectly.

Abby reads to Bailey a bedtime story

Abby sings to her cat

“You are my sunshine, my only sunshine

You make me happy when skies are gray

You’ll never know dear, how much I love you

Please don’t take my sunshine away”

Sadly, this would be Abby’s last song to Bailey before her furry friend crossed the rainbow bridge. Just hours after this moment was filmed, Bailey passed away from kidney failure.

When their favorite cat and best buddy, Bailey passed away right before Christmas, these two cute little girls-the 4-year-old Abby and her younger sister Hannah received endless support in form of cards and gifts from all over the world.

“In a world where you hear a lot of the negative, you’re seeing right here some of the positive. Thank you to all who sent cards, they loved opening them. You made this difficult time a little easier,” Abby’s mother said. Despite Bailey’s passing, her memory continues to live on in their hearts, and she will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, Bailey.
