Internet Gives Appraises To Heroes Who Risk Their Lives To Rescue Helpless Animals During Hurricane Ian

In dangerous situations, what often takes over you is your instinct rather than a cool head. With the heart thumping in your chest, you will likely act before you can consider anything. That’s why one can’t judge others for their actions in emergent circumstances. However, we appreciate the heroes who are willing to throw themselves into danger to protect those weaker and smaller than them.

This admirable heroism is displayed in the face of hurricane Ian, the second-deadliest storm to damage the US in the 21st century. While people got panic and struggled to save themselves, many animals seemed hopeless and helpless without assistance. Luckily, some brave and kindhearted people went out of their way to rescue animals trapped in the storm.

Let’s meet Mike Ross, a 29-year-old guy from Bonita Springs who overcame the rising flood to save a desperate cat. When Mike sheltered at his parent’s place since his house was “10 feet underwater”, he spotted an orange and white cat on a mounted air conditioning unit. “The storm surge had rushed up quite a bit at that point,” he said. Immediately, he jumped to the place to help the terrified-looking kitty.

The rescue mission was captured on camera by Mike’s mom, Marybeth Ross. Mike rushed out without hesitation, wading through knee-high flowing on the way to the soaked cat. He climbed up to the patio and took the cat into his arms with a big smile on his face.
