25 Unique Illustrations With Adorable Heart-Shaped Characters That’ll Belong With Your Heartbeat
Many people who enjoy reading comics truly like the format and all the strange, comic-related things that creators can do with it. Most of them appreciate how panels may be arranged and used to convey different feelings, reading tempos, and amounts of information to the reader. Also, characters and details can range between abstractionism, fictitiousness, and realism. Many illustrators tend to keep their distance from those safe zones in a usual creative process and comfortably expose themselves to the imaginary world with their infinite creativity. With that being said, we'd like to introduce to you Tommy Siegel, the talented creator of a web-comic series featuring characters in colorful heart-shaped bodies decorated with words and messages – the artist’s distinctive storytelling style!
Tommy Siegel is a native of Richmond, Virginia. But he has made Brooklyn, New York, his home for the past 13 years. Since he has spent the majority of his adult life as a full-time musician in the band Jukebox the Ghost, he is still quite new to cartooning and cartoons as a hobby. Apart from drawing courses in elementary school, he is self-taught. He put off drawing for a few decades as he concentrated on music, but in the last few years, his drawing abilities have greatly improved. He even accomplished the crazy task to create a comic book every day for 500 days, which remarkably helped him find his artistic voice and improve as a creator.
For Valentine’s Day, Tommy created a comic with candy hearts and dates to the movies. His suggestion to put people’s inner monologues on sugar hearts was a terrific opportunity to try again. His favorite works are the ones that go deeper into human emotions, even though sometimes his art is just silly and humorous. Don’t you think that it is a fantastic format to highlight people’s inner lives, which frequently differ from how they come across on the outside? He jokingly refers to his current aesthetic as being mostly butts and occasionally sugar hearts.
Tommy has a wide range of online webcomics which have garnered him tens of thousands of fans on social media. Indeed, candy hearts are by no means his only source of drawing inspiration. You’ll relate to 25 of his poignant pieces of art put below. Let’s see how they portray the true feelings we may be reluctant to express to others!
