10+ Unlikely Friendships in Hollywood That Are Almost Impossible to Imagine

The fact that friendship repeatedly demonstrates that who you connect with on a deeper level may not always be related to who you are or where you are from is one of the things we truly adore about it. People can get connected for a variety of reasons that are unrelated to their upbringings, social standing, or financial circumstances.
In Hollywood, however, it's tough to make lifelong friends. In the span of an eye blink, stars part ways. Nonetheless, some relationships endure well over time, such as that between Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner or Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift. These pairings resemble a pair of related peas.
In contrast, some friendships in Hollywood have come about in ways that were so unexpected they resembled the meeting of the north and south poles. These friendships were completely unexpected, but perhaps that is what makes them stronger.
Here are a few of those examples that you could never have expected.

#1 Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson

In Hollywood, Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson share a unique bond. We can't get enough of the couple since they are always coming up with entertaining ways to make fun of one another. Despite the fact that they have been in several movies together, what sets them apart from the others is their sense of humor and physical dissimilarity.

#2 Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey

After working together, the co-stars of the television series The Last of Us grew close. Pedro Pascal, 47, and Bella Ramsey, 19, have an odd connection because of their vast age differences. Ramsey discussed being non-binary and talking about gender and sexuality with Pascal in an interview. He was really encouraging on the TV show set, in her opinion.

Despite their significant age differences, Courteney Cox, 58, and Ed Sheeran, 32, became closest friends. When Sheeran visits Los Angeles, he stays at Cox's residence where they first connected at a party. The Shape of You singer played cupid in 2014 by setting Cox and Johnny McDaid together.

#4 Drew Barrymore, Gwyneth Paltrow, Cameron Diaz, and Nicole Richie

A long back, Gwyneth Paltrow, Cameron Diaz, and Nicole Richie were all seen in a photo that Drew Barrymore shared on social media. One of the most adorable friendships ever exists between Barrymore and Diaz, and their circle simply keeps expanding. Barrymore claims that Diaz introduced her and Richie since they are both sisters-in-law.

No one would have predicted that Selma Blair and Sarah Michelle Gellar, who met as co-stars in the film Cruel Intentions, would become great friends despite their struggles. Some friendships have a tendency to drift away when awful things occur in our life, but not with these 2.
Gellar grew fonder of Blair following her multiple sclerosis diagnosis. Blair recalled her longtime friend, "She was my biggest supporter to get me through and feed me and do things while I was going through a very, really hard period physically and mentally.

#6 Kris Jenner and Jennifer Lawrence

We would have never imagined that this crossing would occur in a million years. Jennifer Lawrence and Kris Jenner first spoke during Lawrence's birthday celebration. Lawrence is a fan of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, so the actress' crew requested Jenner to surprise her by showing up with the cake.
Even so, Jenner was complimentary of the actress.  “She’s like one of my kids. I’m so blessed to have her in my life.”

A few years ago, Jennifer Coolidge, 61, made an unforgettable appearance in 29-year-old Ariana Grande's thank u, next music video. To recreate a Legally Blonde scenario, the pop diva phoned Coolidge. If you hadn't placed me in Thank U, Next and done that impersonation, I don't think I would be here where I am, Coolidge stated to Ariana Grande in an interview while discussing how her life and career had developed.

#8 Paul Rudd and Jeffrey Dean Morgan

As they are essentially neighbors, actor Morgan claims that he and Rudd have known each other for a time. Although their friendship is not particularly unusual, we found it intriguing how they came to the decision to own a confectionery shop jointly.
Morgan stated in a conversation: “We know the guy that started the store 25 years ago. He passed away suddenly, and we didn’t want the store to be anything else than what it was, so we decided to step in and buy the candy store.”

After Ryan Reynolds made a joke about David Beckham in one of the Deadpool movies, this pair came together in a comedic way. A few years after the film's release, Reynolds made the decision to make amends with Beckham. We couldn't stop giggling after witnessing the actor and the former soccer player in a commercial where Deadpool begs for Beckham's pardon.

It was sheer coincidence that Parker and Cohen met; their friendship is arguably one of the finest in Hollywood. Cohen wasn't well recognized in the industry when the two first met. He produced a TV show while working behind the scenes.
Parker always brings Cohen as a guest to the Met Gala because the dynamic duo is so close, and the Sex and the City actor is always there for Cohen when he needs parenting guidance.

#11 Dakota Johnson and Gwyneth Paltrow

Given that both ladies are well-known Hollywood actors, some people would wonder why this connection is strange, but there is always more to the tale. It turns out that Chris Martin, Paltrow's ex-husband, has moved on with Dakota Johnson.
Although deciding to be friends for the benefit of their children, Paltrow and Martin formalized their divorce in 2016. These days, both spouses may be seen socializing as a huge family. “I love her. I can see how it would seem weird because it’s sort of unconventional,” she stated.

The rumor that rapper 50 Cent and actress Meryl Streep attended a basketball game in 2014 went viral. Yet, because the stars didn't arrive at the same time, their meeting was totally arbitrary. Indeed, Streep was joined by her spouse. Despite everything, Streep and 50 Cent had a terrific day and even became friends with Kobe Bryant after the game.

The actor and Hollywood icon Matthew McConaughey was a huge Guy Fieri admirer. As Fieri earned his Hollywood Walk of Fame star in 2019, McConaughey, a close friend of Fieri's, made a heartfelt statement about how the two met. “I came across this show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, and it quickly became my favorite show,” said the actor.
The How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days actor spent the day with Fieri at his home in Los Angeles. In describing his close buddy, McConaughey stated, “This is a guy I met who was curious and was also dealing with some newfound fame and wanted to talk about how best to navigate it.”
