10 Possible Love Interests For Tom Holland’s Peter Parker In Spider-Man 4

Spider-Man: No Way Home is the perfect grand finale for the MCU’s Spider-Man trilogy, which sees all three Peters fighting together against the Sinister Five. However, the threequel also features one of the most tragic endings in MCU history, with Aunt May’s death, and Peter’s existence has been wiped out of everyone’s memory, including his loved one, MJ Watson.

Fans expect Tom Holland’s Peter to reconcile with both Ned and MJ in Spider-Man 4, however, the protagonist has refrained himself from doing so at the end of the movie to keep both of them safe. Therefore, there’s also a high chance that Peter will meet some new allies in the fourth installment, and quite possibly, a new love interest.

From Mary Jane to Gwen Stacy, there are a lot of potential partners for Spidey from the comics that haven’t made their MCU debut yet. Let’s take a look at these 10 best love interests for Peter Parker, should he return in MCU Spider-Man 4.

Of course, there’s still a high chance that Tom Holland’s Peter can return to his main girlfriend in the MCU, Michelle Jones, aka MCU’s version of MJ. Due to Doctor Strange’s spell, the latter has completely forgotten about Peter’s existence, and doesn’t seem to recognize him at the end of the movie.

However, Marvel Studios can think of some way to bring back both Ned and MJ's memories somehow, and have them reconciling at the end of the upcoming movie. Or they can simply make Peter start from scratch and befriends MJ all over again, though the first scenario is more likely to happen, with the concept of Multiverse and time-travel introduced to the MCU.

#2. Gwen Stacy

Among Harry Osborn, Gwen is another iconic Spider-Man character in the comics that hasn’t made her MCU debut yet. In Marvel Comics, Gwen is one of Peter Parker’s best love interests, as the two share a very wholesome and healthy relationship without much drama. Her vibrant and supportive personality is also considered a great implement to Peter’s temperament.

Unfortunately, their comic relationship didn’t last, as Gwen was killed by the Green Goblin. Gwen has been brought to the big screen in two different franchises: one in The Amazing Spider-Man franchise and the other being the Spider-Verse franchise, and both versions are very well-received by the audience.

As Peter and MJ Jones parted ways at the end of No Way Home, fans expect Gwen Stacy to be Spidey’s next girlfriend in the MCU, and hopefully, she won’t suffer the same tragic fate in the comics and the Amazing Spider-Man franchise.

#3. Betty Brant

In the MCU Spider-Man trilogy, Betty Brant appears to be a high school friend with Peter, and had a brief time dating Ned in Spider-Man: Far From Home. However, few would know that in the comics, Peter also dated Betty for a while as the two worked together in the Daily Bugle.

If Marvel decides to let Peter work for the Daily Bugle in Spider-Man 4, the two might meet again as co-workers this time, though Betty won’t remember a thing about him. Therefore, their romantic relationship could work, though it would be a bit weird for Peter to date his best friend’s ex.

#4. Felicia Hardy/Black Cat

Felicia hasn’t appeared in any live-action Spider-Man movie so far, however the MCU could change that since she’s a very interesting character to exploit. In the comics, Felicia has a complicated relationship with Peter, or rather, Spider-Man, as she only shows affection for Peter’s masked persona.

The two also dated for a while in the comics, so we can expect to see their romance blooming on the big screen. Since Black Cat is a burglar, Spider-Man 4 could delve further into her special rivalry-lover connection between her and the Wall-Crawler, which can bring a refreshing breath of air to the franchise.

#5. Cindy Moon/Silk

Also known as Silk, Cindy, a Korean-American student, wields the same arachnid power as Peter Parker, as she was also bitten by the same radioactive spider. After being locked away by Ezekiel Sims for 13 years, she returns as Silk to fight crimes alongside Peter’s Spider-Man.

While the two mostly remain friends in the comics, both Peter and Cindy are attracted to each other whenever they’re in close proximity due to a side effect. Cindy also appears in the MCU as one of Peter’s classmates at Midtown High who survived the Blip. Therefore, she and Peter would be the same age, and Marvel won’t have to waste any time giving her a more prominent role in the upcoming sequel.

#6. Kate Bishop

Kate already made her MCU debut in the TV series Hawkeye, serving as Clint Barton’s heir to the title. In the comics, she doesn’t develop any romantic relationship with Peter, but as the two have fought together on many occasions, Marvel could kick it up a notch should they let them meet.

An interesting fact about Kate is that her actress, Hailee Steinfeld, also voices Gwen Stacy in the acclaimed Spider-Verse franchise, who shows signs of romantic feelings toward Miles Morales. Therefore, having Kate falling in love with Spider-Man in the MCU could be a great touch by Marvel, as the current phase still exploring further about the Multiverse.

#7. Kamala Khan

Likewise, Kamala Khan remains friends with Peter in the comics just like Kate Bishop. Since they’re both roughly the same age and have similar vibrant/dorky vibe to them, the two are very close friends, and could potentially develop romantic feelings if Marvel decides to give it a go.

#8. Captain Marvel

Only hardcore Marvel fans would know that Peter Parker actually has a brief period dating Carol Danvers in the comics. Unlike others in this list, the relationship between the two has that big sis-little bro vibe, with Danvers being much older and wiser than the Wall-Crawler.

However, at one point in the comics, they dated each other, and showed some fun interactions and dynamics that few would expect. At the end of the day, though, they decided to part ways and return to being friends. However, seeing their relationship in the MCU develop romantically would be a nice surprise for fans, as they’d want to see how this bizarre connection between the two turns out.

#9. Carlie Cooper

Unlike most candidates in this list, Carlie hasn’t made her appearance in any live-action Spider-Man so far, be it the Sonyverse or the MCU. In the Brand New Day storyline, Carlie is a Crime Scene Investigator for the NYPD, and is Peter’s confidant for a brief while. However, the two put an end to the relationship as Carlie finds out about Peter’s identity as the Web-Slinger.

While she’s somewhat a minor character, fans love to see Carlie have at least a small cameo role in MCU Spider-Man 4 as one of Peter’s potential partners.

#10. Anna Maria Marconi

Anna is a complicated one, as she’s technically not Peter’s comic girlfriend, but rather Otto’s girlfriend when the latter was still in Peter’s body in the Superior Spider-Man storyline. As Peter regains his body once again, the two split and remain close friends. However, Anna was a very good match for Otto.

Judging how Doc Ock becomes good again in No Way Home, this theory will hardly come to fruition, and Anna might not be fans’ number one choice as Peter’s confidant either.

Who will be Peter Parker’s love interest in MCU Spider-Man 4? Will he and Michelle Jones come back together? Share your thoughts in the comment.
