The show first premiered in 2021 as a limited series with only 6 episodes. Francesca Orsi, executive vice president of HBO Programming and head of HBO drama series and films, stated that “He’s only continued to reach new heights in season 2, which is the ultimate testament to Mike’s raw, unparalleled vision… We couldn’t be more thrilled to get the chance to collaborate on a third season together.”

Previously, the show has taken us to the breathtaking resorts in Hawaii (in season 1) and Sicily, Italy (in season 2). These places are both stunning beach hotels & resorts and the best options for an eye-appealing TV series. Thanks to the popular series, these resorts are welcoming more and more guests to their accommodations. Therefore, the upcoming location for the filming of the third series is a major question among fans and audiences of White’s show. 
In October, the chief teased the new location in an interview with Deadline. Obviously, the new spot will not be neither Hawaii nor Sicily. “I think it’d be fun to maybe go to a whole different continent. You know, we did Europe, and maybe Asia, something crazy like that, that would be fun,” he said about the new filming location. 
Among all Asian countries, he only mentioned Japan as a possible destination while recalling Jennifer Coolidge, his favorite cast member. “Jennifer is my friend and everybody loved her in the first season, and I was like, ‘I can’t go to Italy without Jennifer.’ And maybe that’s still the case. Like, maybe you can’t go to Japan without Jennifer, either.” This is also a hint that Coolidge might return to the next season. 

#3. White Lotus Season 3 Release Date

Even though there are several possible news about White Lotus season 3 location or cast, it has not started yet. The project is still in talks and in need of a confirmation. Therefore, it might take a little longer to see the next season. Previously, it took us more than 1 year for the premiere of the second season. The first season premiered on July 11, 2021. Meanwhile, the following season was on air from October 30, 2022. Possibly, at the end of 2023, the show will be available to stream on HBO Max.
