See 13 Avengers Reimagined As Pokemon Gym Leaders!

What happens when two of the most profitable and long-standing franchises crossover? A very awesome amalgamation of both.
Since its first comic, Marvel has integrated itself as an essential part of pop culture. With the ever-expansion of its properties, including comics, TV Shows, and cinematic universe, Marvel has now become one of the most profitable franchises of all time.
And so does Pokemon. Everybody knows the iconic yellow electric mouse Pikachu, making Pokemon easily one of the most iconic franchises with its own TV, comics, video games, or novels. With its creation in 1998, the franchise’s animated show has lasted over 25 years, making its one of the most long-running shows on TV.
And when these franchises crossover, it’s glorious! Take a look at 13 popular Avengers, Marvel’s flagship superheroes teams, reimagined as Pokemon Gym Leaders by artist FerioWind! Can you formulate the team to beats them on your way to becoming a Pokemon Master?

#1 Maria Hill - Queen-theme

With Vespiquen and Nidoqueen, Maria’s theme is very fitting for her position as the Head of SHIELD, isn’t it? Bonus point for both Pokemon can go for Poison-type moves.

#2 Tony Stark - Steel-type

The technological genius has a team of Steel-pokemon. Hey, Iron Man, Steel-type pokemon, is another fitting theme for Iron Man as a Gym Leader. One thing is clear: With how rich he is, get a Meowth with Payday to score as much as you can from the Playboy millionaire.

#3 Steve Rogers - Normal/Fire-type

Under the red, white, and blue Vibranium shield, the All-American Captain America works diligently to train himself. Which makes him being a Normal gym leader very fitting.

#4 Natasha Romanova - Poison-type

Natasha Romanov’s pokemons are Poison type, befitting her superhero title Black Widom. Just like with her iconic Spider Bite to paralyze you, her pokemons would be able to spread many status effects on your team too!

#5 Thor - Electric-type

It’s natural that the Asgardian God of Thunder leads an Electric-type Poke-gym, no? Bonus point that his team would also feature the legendary Raikou to match his God-like status. Definitely a late-game gym.

#6 Loki - Dark/Ghost-type

It’s only fitting that the gloomy Trickster God leads a Gym of Dark-type pokemon that are also mischievous. And hard to get through; that Deoxys is a horror to get over! Pray to Arceus that Loki doesn’t have a Mega-stone for Gengar.

#7 Clint Barton - Flying type

Hawkeye… so flying pokemon; the connection is clear, no? Also, imitating his impeccable aim, his pokemon are likely to have Keen Eye ability as well.

#8 Bruce Banner - Gentle-nature Gym

For the Incredible Hulk with his anger issue… you would expect a team of big, bulky and intimidating Fighting-type pokemon. But you’d be surprised: Bruce Banner’s team is full of gentle Pokemons.

#9 Nick Fury - Legendary-Gym

The leader of SHIELD, Nick Fury, has an appearance more fitting as a Champion or Final boss. This is why his team is made for butt-kicking: his Mewtwo alone is enough to one-shot any beginning team.

#10 Pepper - Pretty-theme

Source: FerioWind

You would wonder what kind of gym Miss Pepper Pott, Tony Stark’s right-hand woman, and the love of his life, has. A pretty theme, with beautiful pokemon like Milotic and Espeon. Both are difficult to evolve, so maybe that’s the theme?

#11 Phil Coulson - Unknown

One of the most popular SHIELD operators, Phil Coulson, has a very interesting team. With only 2 pokemon of different themes, maybe he fits better as a challenger than a Gym leader?
