On March 8th, The Flash Season 9 Episode 9: "The Mask Of The Red Death, Part Two" was officially aired on The CW. Before Season 9 officially started, in an interview with TV Line, the main star of the show Grant Gustin revealed that Season 9 would end by honoring the legacy of the show.
"Upping the romance between Barry and Iris, then adding all of those other good things, creates a series finale where people will truly go, ‘Hey, that was a good one. That one’s going to stay with me in a positive way and really honor the legacy of the show.", Grant shared.

Iris being pregnant has finally happened, and it happened in an unexpected way.
In The Flash Season 9 Episode 5, Team Flash gathered at Joe West's (played by Jesse L. Martin) house to host a farewell party. Suddenly, Iris was feeling dizzy and had to sit down, which made her confused.
Khione (played by Danielle Panabaker) then told Iris that the reason behind her unstable condition was her being pregnant. This came as a total surprise to everybody in the room. It turned out that not a single person in the room, including Barry and Iris, knew that Iris was pregnant. Khione belatedly realized that she had became the one to let the cats out of the bag.
