Brown Bear Breaks Into Shop Multiple Times To Steal Chocolate Bars

Sometimes, stray animals find their way into human places such as schools, stores, apartment buildings, and even residents’ houses. It would be lovely to welcome a stray cat sheltering for one or two nights under your patio or in your store. That said, the situation will be totally different if the animal you find out is not a small cat or an adorable dog but a huge bear.
Here is an unusual story about a hungry bear that broke into a 7-Eleven and stole candy bars. The 54-year-old cashier at the shop could do nothing but stand still and witness the unexpected robbery.

Everything happened with an open door at the shop in Olympic Valley, California. While on a night shift, the clerk noticed the door was opened without anyone entering before he saw the enormous body of the wild animal.
“At first, I was shocked," Christopher, a native of Wisconsin, said. “I see the door open, and I don’t see a torso, and I’m like, “Oh my gosh… It’s a bear.”

The brown bear seemed so hungry that it decided to treat itself to some snacks in the shop at 1:30 am. “The videos really don’t do it justice. The bear was about 20% to 30% bigger in real life.”
The huge animal paid a visit to the store not once, not twice, but multiple times at the night! Despite the fear at first, Christopher managed to keep his composure and carefully stayed away from the bear. “Initially, I was scared, but after 15, 20 seconds, I was fine.”

“I always kept my distance, and I had the back door near me so I could escape if it charged me,” he said. “I was scared initially, but they just want to eat. You always have to be careful, though. We don’t know how exactly they are thinking.”

The bear looked at the chocolate bars and took them one or two at a time as a real customer. Maybe it was a polite guy who was forced to break into the 7-Eleven as the last choice. “It’s funny. It’s like it was purposely polite to take one candy bar at a time. It’s almost like it had manners.”
After several times in and out of the shop to enjoy his treat, the robber left for about 30 minutes, giving Christopher the chance to block the entrance. “‘It came in, sniffed around, then scooted out. Once it got the food that it wanted, and it scooted right out the door.”

“It grabbed [the food], went out for two or three minutes, and came back. It came in two or three times and then left for 30 minutes, so that’s when I blocked the door. You don’t want to become their source of food.” The cashier blocked the door with a broom handle and tied it with a bin liner, but his attempt was nothing compared to the big bear.

The bear looked really satisfied to have his chocolates, which made him adorable as a child. Though the video is hilarious, it must be frightening if we had to encounter that enormous robber. Luckily, the robber only took his favorite snacks and left the clerk alone.
