The Netherlands scored a beautiful last-minute goal in their quarter-final against Argentina at the Lusail Iconic Stadium. Argentina took a 2-0 lead in Friday's match, however, the Dutch managed to get away with the defeat. Defender Nahuel Molina pulls in a moderately weighted pass to give La Albiceleste a well-deserved lead. The Spectacular Dutch goal broke Argentina's heart.
Messi scored his fourth goal of the competition through the penalty spot as Argentina looked home and exhausted with 15 minutes left on the clock. But an inspired substitution from Dutch coach Louis Van Gaal changed the fortunes of the game. Tall striker Wout Weghorst halved the number of goals conceded in the 83rd minute to bring the cat into the pigeons. The Netherlands then did the unthinkable from a free-kick when Koopmeiners scored for Weghorst on the near-final kick of the game. Holland's Last Goal is amusing.
