Life doesn't last forever. But when we're gone, something can carry on, like our history. Many families have their own stories, and some folks like to preserve those stories through heirlooms.
A 16-year-old is catching heat from family for not wanting to share their great-grandma's cookbook with their half-sister.
For example, u/Haylming's great-grandma made a special cookbook. It got passed down to their grandma, then to their late mom, and finally to them. They really value this book and want to keep it to themselves. But here's the twist: their half-sister won't give it up.

Here's OP story:
OP found out that the way he admitted to the affair was cruel, she then distanced herself from her dad and her half-siblings since this information.
But that didn't stop her dad from telling OP's oldest stepsibling about the cookbook. He mentioned how much OP valued it, and her stepsibling began bothering her about sharing it.
OP's dad and his wife found out about OP not sharing the cookbook and got angry with her.
As expected, this post went viral faster than a sneeze in a crowded room, and boy, did it catch everyone's attention! Here are some of the responses it received:
The pettiness of this brings me joy, LOL.
This. They're garbage.
This Redditor asked OP to provide additional information to add more context to her story.
To which OP replies:
It sucks, but OP doesn't have to like them. It's not mandatory.
OP then replies:
This is not about the recipes. It has sentimental value and it's private.
The dad CHEATED on his dying wife. Why would OP ever get over that and make nice with the new affair family?
