Her new neighbors and even strangers started using her land to get to the lake. That irritated her a lot. Although she tried telling people she lives there now and even put up signs, some folks just kept on walking through.

So, the OP came up with the interesting idea that she put up a fence, and put up a sign stating “private property,” as well as a sign letting folks know that her dogs were on the property. And of course, her neighbors didn't like this.

This is the full story of OP:

OP bought a big piece of land with woods and a lake, and she's the only one with easy access to the water

OP's new neighbors used to use her driveway and beach, but they didn't introduce themselves before she moved in. Therefore, OP had to deal with people crossing her property

OP thought people used her property because they didn't know she moved in, so she told them she live there now and asked them not to trespass, but it didn't really help

OP tried talking to people and even put up a fence and signs, but they still kept coming onto her property, so I let my dogs roam to discourage them

Neighbors thought her fence and dogs were aggressive, and one neighbor even yelled at her because her dogs barked at her kids. They claimed her property was the neighborhood entrance to the lake
