When Restaurants Took Customers’ Orders A Little Bit Too Literally

Larry Campbell

Any chef worth their salt will admit that special orders can be a genuine pain. Unegg in an egg salad? A triple-decaf espresso, please. Added sour cream on a vegan taco, perhaps? One never knows what peculiar order a customer will place! However, some restaurants are preferring to accept these bizarre orders word for word, frequently surprising the guests, rather than declining to accept them.
People are posting humorous pictures of the instances that restaurants took their special instructions a little too seriously. Check out some fantastic illustrations of "delicious compliance" in the gallery below, including enormous donuts and mountains of pepperoni!
