Even Wes Bentley told Gold Derby: “I can’t tell you anything because I don’t know myself, and to be honest even if I did know anything, I don’t know if I would say. It’s so much fun seeing the reaction and it all comes from it being unexpected. “I really don’t know, it’s going to be fascinating for me to find out too… I believe in what Taylor [Sheridan] is doing, and I’m waiting on pins and needles, like everybody else.” The most recent news has been rather alarming: Season 5 is set for a delay as a result of on-set drama with Kevin Costner, who reportedly hasn’t been committing enough time to the show. Don’t be surprised in the end if the remaining six episodes of the season air in roughly the same window that we saw the first eight, starting in early November. We’d be shocked if there is another two-episode premiere, mostly because the network is likely to stretch this out as long as they can. With the limited amount of stories they still have, that makes all the more sense.
