He revealed that the vet clinic's funny caption caught his attention completely and that he wished to play with Fat Fred, but the vet was closed that day, so he could only watch Fred from the window.
Due to some light effects from the sunlight and the window, the passer-by ended up with a pepper ghost picture which unexpectedly went viral later. The smoky-fur feline seemed to be see-through mysteriously, which made viewers wonder whether Fred was real, a painting on the floor, or a cat ninja in disguise.

Though Fred wasn't for adoption, the vet hoped more visitors play with him to help him exercise more since he weighed 28 lbs, which meant he was dangerously obese and would have many severe health problems without any interception.
