"It's okay to break the rules." - You've probably heard this saying, right? It's the call of the rebel, a feeling that regulations impede innovation and growth, that there is a need for boundaries to be pushed.
We've pretty much got following the rules to a tee in our tidy universe. We pay our taxes, stop at red lights, tip properly in restaurants, and halt at stop signs. Do we not? At least the majority of us do. That makes those arbitrary acts of revolt, no matter how trivial they may be, feel like a small win against the system.
