Wildlife photography is one of the last few things in the modern world that give us access to intimate natural experiences. This time, we invite you to discover British nature through the eyes of the winners of the British Wildlife Photography Awards 2023. The BWPA is an annual showcase of some of the best nature photography in Britain. The competition aims to serve as an essential reminder of the value of Britain’s woodlands, wetlands, and other ecosystems.

This year's competition received over 13,000 photographs from amateur and professional photographers from around the United Kingdom. Apart from Charlie Page, this year's grand prize winner, many more category winners and runner-ups showcase the island's rich biodiversity. Adult photographers competed across 10 categories: Animal Behavior, Animal Portraits, Botanical Britain, Black and White, British Seasons, Coast and Marine, Habitat, Hidden Britain, Urban Wildlife, and Wild Woods. Young photographers competed across three age groups: 11 and under, 12-14 years, and 15-17 years.
So without further ado, we invite you to meet this year's category winners and runner-ups.
