On 20th December 2022, everyone was enjoying themselves with their families. The pine trees were decorated, and cheerful songs were everywhere in the town. At the merry moment, A poor soul was left in the cold and harshness, fighting for her life. The blizzard seemed to blow away all her hope, but everybody knew Christmas was when Christmas miracles happened.

Emmy, a miserable neglected pit mix, was found curling up during a blizzard on the street in Ecorse, Michigan. It was about two degrees Fahrenheit out with 30 mph winds, and a layer of snow covered her brown fur. Fortunately, she was spotted by local people and reported to Friends of River Rouge Animal Shelter. As soon as the association was alerted, Patty came to the place and saw the skinny dog nearly frozen.Source: Friends of the River Rouge Animal Shelter

Quickly, Patty called for help by posting about Emmy on social networks. The PAWS Clinic, the local spay-neuter clinic, suggested transporting her to the vet, so Patty drove her to Pet Care Clinic Lincoln Park. Here, a vet team examined Emmy. Since she was underweight and had a malnutrition condition with fleas and pressure sores on her elbows and knees, they offered to transport her to an emergency vet clinic immediately.Source: Friends of the River Rouge Animal Shelter

Henceforth, Patty's friends at P.O.E.T. Animal Rescue took responsibility. Then, the pup was exceeded to the clinic's ER, where she received treatment to get her body temperature up. Emmy was estimated to be about 8-9 and must have had a rough past with her old owners.Source: P.O.E.T Animal Rescue

On the morning of Christmas, the pit mix girl's condition was stable, and she was no longer at risk, so Boesen came to pick her up. Even though the lady was informed of the pooch's situation, she never thought Emmy could be so sweet and friendly. The cute furry creature greeted Boesen with her wagging tail. Moreover, she loved to be fondled, so she made noise to get attention.Source: P.O.E.T Animal Rescue

Emmy was welcomed to the foster home and had a comfortable holiday with other rescued pets. From being dumped out of a car in a snowstorm, the canine could start a new happy life and wait for her true forever-after family to adopt her. After all the brutalities, she still loved couches, fuzzy blankets, and lying under the tree near the heater.Source: P.O.E.T Animal Rescue
