Selena Gomez wants the animosity toward Hailey Bieber to end. The "Lose You to Love Me" singer, who learned of the model's severe comments, sent a statement on her Instagram Story on March 24.

Selena, who has also followed Hailey on Instagram, wrote: "Hailey Bieber reached out to me and let me know that she has been receiving death threats and such hateful negativity. This isn't what I stand for. No one should have to experience hate or bullying. I've always advocated for kindness, and really want this all to stop."
Selena's post comes one month after she used social media to address rumors that Hailey Baldwin and her friend Kylie Jenner had insulted her, calling the rumors "unnecessary" in a TikTok comment on February 22. Since then, Hailey—who is married to Selena's ex Justin Bieber—has drawn a ton of criticism online, prompting Selena to come to Hailey's defense. When they stood for a selfie together at the Academy Museum Gala in late 2022, the Grammy nominee and the creator of Rhode Skin earlier put the feud rumors to rest.

"They were requested to take a picture when they were both there on the same occasion. They resolved to end the rumors once and for all after reaching an agreement. They wished to demonstrate that there is actually no animosity between them and that both of them are in excellent spirits. They seized the chance to put the commotion behind them at that precise moment" a source reported in October.
In a September interview with Call Her Daddy, Hailey also addressed the criticism she encounters over the progression of her and Justin's relationship. "A lot of the hate and the perpetuation comes from like, 'Oh, you stole [Justin], and I guess maybe that just comes from the fact that they wished he had ended up with somebody else. And that's fine. You can wish that all you want but that's just not the case."'
