After just getting some news regarding his brother, Rihanna's son was not happy. Rihanna is expecting her second child with A$AP Rocky, captioned an Instagram snap of her crying newborn boy on March 5. "My son when he found out his sibling is going to the Oscars and not him, "
The adorable photo also featured her 9-month-old child, whose name hasn't been released, enjoying the "Lift Me Up" music video from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. (Rihanna, who is nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Song, will perform her song from the Marvel movie.)
One month after taking the stage at the 2023 Super Bowl, when she not only played a medley of her classics but also revealed her pregnancy, she will perform at the award event on March 12. (although, she had hinted at the baby news in an interview leading up to the big game).
Rihanna returned to the stage for the Super Bowl halftime act after a long absence (which, to be fair, she has been busy running her Fenty empire in addition to starting a family). And prior to the game, the nine-time Grammy winner discussed why she believed it was the appropriate moment to come back during a news conference.
During a Feb. 9 news conference for the Apple Music Halftime Concert, Rihanna remarked. "It feels like it could have only been now, I mean, when I first got the call to do it again this year, I was like, 'You sure? Like, I'm three months postpartum. Like, should I be making major decisions like this right now? Like, I might regret this.' But when you become a mom, there's something that just happens where you feel like you can take on the world, you can do anything. The Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages in the world. So, as scary as that was because I haven't been on stage in seven years, there's something exhilarating about the challenge of it all. And it's important for me to do this year. It's important for representation. It's important for my son to see that."
