OP's girlfriend has asked him to sleep on the couch so her brother can sleep in the bed while he visits
It seems like in her Dutch family, it's normal for her brother to stay in their bed while he visits, but in the UK, OP's always believed that a couple's bedroom is private
OP believes his girlfriend's brother should sleep on the couch, not in their bed
OP and his girlfriend are actually in the process of breaking up as a mutual decision to pursue individual paths
To prevent their friendship from turning sour, they're staying together until OP move out after her brother's visit
His girlfriend claimed to have asked him about her brother sleeping in the bed previously, and that he agreed. But now, he forgets about it
