Rare Cream-Colored Bear Cub Playing With His Black Bear Mom Is A Purely Adorable Scene

Black bears come in more colors than any other North American mammal. They can be black, brown, cinnamon, blond, blue-gray, or white, and in some areas, they can be up to 20% creamy white and are called Spirit Bears. Cream-colored bears are rare, but this environmental planning manager had his chance to meet an adorable little one.

Arthur De Jong saw the cub frolicking with its mother on Whistler-Blackcomb mountain in British Columbia, so he waited at the place where the best food supply was. Luckily, he was able to catch the two for 45 minutes between meetings.

The off-white cub was believed to be albino since he didn't have a black nose or pigmentation like a Kermode. However, the scientist needed more proof, such as a photo of his eyes being pink-blue in color.

Because bears live at Whistler-Blackcomb mountain without human intervention, the experts decided to leave the rare cub alone. Plus, they predicted that his lifespan wouldn't be as long as a regular bear's and called for some awareness.

First, anyone who wants to see bears in the area should take a guided tour and become educated about the animals. Secondly, don't try to take a selfie with a wild animal, especially a wild bear, because becoming habituated to humans would markedly reduce the animal's chance of staying alive! Thirdly, don't feed wild animals, including bears, human food because they are too fatty and salty!
