We all know dogs are loyal. When their owners tell them to wait, they will do it with all their trust. Still, their loyalty is not paid back, and they become heartbroken. More than that, these poor yet brilliant pups are always willing to have faith in human beings again. Robbies is one of those adorable, loving creatures that were once abandoned but still devote their affection to people. Here is his touching story.

Robbies followed his owners to Dollar General in Houston, Texas. They told him to wait outside as they shopped. He obeyed and patiently sat by the door, but he never saw his family take him home. The pooch didn't know where his humans were or how to come home since he might have been brought here in a vehicle. Having nowhere else to go, Robbie sheltered himself under a plastic chair in front of the store.Source: kristin_erwin
Three weeks passed as the pup was desperately waiting. Every day, the little brown canine looked at people coming and leaving and hoped his owners to appear among them. Unfortunately, the dream reunion never happened as Robbie wandered near the shop.Source: kristin_erwin
Kristin Erwin, a sweet lady, who often took part in dog rescues, spotted the worried dog while he was anxiously checking everybody. She asked the clerk his story. The clerk was sure about his owners coming back for him later and revealed that the store had been requested to feed him. Nevertheless, Erwin doubted it and left her number in case Robbie's caretakers didn't show up.Source: kristin_erwin
Afterward, as she expected, the store called and informed her that the pup's keepers were out of reach and Robbie needed her help. Erwin picked him up quickly by coaxing him into her car with treats and the clerk's assistant.Source: kristin_erwin
After a while of looking after the pup, the lady realized he was chilly, quiet, and not very active. Robbie was as cool as a cucumber.

Then, the chubby canine was moved to a new foster home with help from Lola's Lucky Day. He was ready to get adopted by a lovely family that would treasure him for the rest of his life since he earned it.Source: kristin_erwin
