You may observe many high-stakes situations in today's theater. The planet Earth may be destroyed. The entire cosmos may vanish. The multiverse itself is in jeopardy. But if the Paint teaser trailer is any indication, this movie will offer us something a little different. It recounts the tale of a fictional public television artist who appears to be tremendously influenced by Bob Ross. And by somewhat different, we refer to the relaxed serenity of extremely low stakes. Look at this.
Even when things are challenging, the Paint trailer exudes positivity. Along with some calming music, stunning scenery, and relaxing ASMR brushstrokes are presented. Not to add, plenty of heartfelt affirmations were spoken. Naturally, nothing is ever completely pure. And there is a lot of rivalry in the paint industry. At one point, Carl Nargle, played by Owen Wilson, even throws a paint can result in anger. There's a real tension there.
The most current and finest biopic with a twist is presented to us by IFC Films. Of course, this isn't really a Bob Ross biography; Carl Nargle's story is totally made up. However, the trailer for Paint definitely makes a big nod to the notion. We suppose that a genuine narrative allows greater freedom to add whatever drama a movie needs. even if there isn't any drama at all in that.
We have all the information we want from the official Paint movie synopsis, which was released along with the film's trailer:
Owen Wilson stars as Carl Nargle, Vermont’s #1 public TV painter who is convinced he has it all: a signature perm, custom van, and fans hanging on his every stroke… until a younger, better artist steals everything (and everyone) Carl loves.
What will happen in the end? We anticipate finding out when Paint launches on April 7.
