On a snowy night, fate smiled upon a black cat when it was lucky enough to meet his hero just in the nick of time. It was when officer Matt Frosein of the Platteville Police Department in Wisconsin heard the desperate meows near his workplace. It sounded like somebody begged for help, and he just couldn't ignore them. The cries grew louder as he followed the sound, and it led him to a ditch buried under three feet of snow.
Under the gentle glow of the full moon, he discovered a black kitten with big, pleading eyes, trapped and shivering. “Officer Froiseth traversed the ditch and found this little one stuck in the snow and rocks,” Platteville Police Department wrote on Facebook.
The Platteville Police Department later shared the whole story on Facebook and invited anyone to adopt the lucky cat.
“If you would like to claim this lucky guy, he will be at the Platteville Vet Clinic as soon as he gets done with his nap with his new best friend,” wrote the Platteville Police Department.
However, this cat had already chosen his hero. He never wanted to leave Officer Frosein's side. And it didn't take long for Officer Frosein to fall for those big round eyes and the cat's clingy but adorable paws. Later, he officially adopted this black little friend and named him Donut.
“Donut is becoming more comfortable with his new family,” The Platteville Police Department posted on Facebook in an update about Donut.
Gradually, Donut became an important member of Officer Froseith’s family. He had been used to outdoor life for so long, and he was adjusting to living indoors, but one thing remained the same – he loved cuddles.
While Donut and Frosein are together, the cat would love to crawl on his back, curl up beside him, or even nap on his feet. The bond between them was just so touching!
