The number of Valais Blacknose sheep dropped steadily during the 20th century but luckily recovered and rose, especially in Switzerland, since 40 years ago. They are still a rare breed of sheep with a population of about 19,000. Now they can be found anywhere in the world, but the purebred of this species isn’t available in many areas.
