Manager Refuses To Ask Customers To Leave, Customer Stays Until 5 AM

Emily Mahboobeh

Anyone who's worked retail knows that there are some infuriating customers out there, and sometimes they need a push in the right direction. After all, no employee wants customers to get stuck in the store after closing time. This is why stores announce their closing times, so some last-minute shoppers can hurry up and leave before the store closes.

However, this one manager doesn’t think so. She thought it was very rude and that the customer should not be rushed, even though it was 2 a.m. Yes, you read that correctly. I personally have no idea how or why she thought this was a good idea, but she soon learned what a horrible way this was when the employee complied. If you don’t tell customers what the closing time is, how are they supposed to know?

Let's scroll down to go through the whole story and see what the internet users have to say about it.

Working during the night can be calmer, but fatigue usually sets in around 2 am.

Although this manager didn’t seem to think so and reprimanded OP.

As you can imagine, OP is still bitter about this when an idea pops into their head.

Personally, I can’t imagine staying in a store for that long.
