One Redditor kicked their mother-in-law out for messing up his quiet cat life.

He explained that he and his partner lived in a small apartment. One day, their mother-in-law asked them to allow her and her dog to stay over for a few days.
And now they were all squeezed together in the tiny space, which made the OP realize how tricky it could be to set boundaries and have their own space when living in such close quarters. For example, while the OP worked from home, the mother-in-law was just sitting in the living room talking on the phone and watching TV. It was really hard for him to concentrate on his work. Eventually, the OP asked her to leave or find a hotel.
