Netflix has unveiled a U.S. version of the hit Australian reality show "Love on the Spectrum U.S. Season 2" capturing the hearts of viewers, starting this January. This series takes us on a journey with six individuals on the autism spectrum as they navigate the complexities of love and relationships. With insights from autism specialist and relationship guru Jennifer Cook, this show is a must-watch.

A lot of viewers have pointed out that most of the show's first season cast hail from the sunny state of California. But the burning question remains: Where is Season 2 filmed? Here’s the scoop as far as we know.

Netflix's "Love on the Spectrum U.S." is a docuseries that genuinely captures the essence of its cast members by filming right where they live. Cast members like Dani Bowman, Abbey Romeo Lutes, Rachel Osterbach, and Subodh Garg, along with his family, are all based in Los Angeles County.

The series showcases several picturesque locations across California where these individuals experience their dates. As reported by The Cinemaholic, some of these scenic spots include Redlands' Kimberly Crest House & Gardens and Alpine's Lion, Tigers & Bears Wildlife Sanctuary.

Similarly, Season 2 is likely to follow its predecessor's footsteps and be filmed in various locations in the U.S.

The cast of "Love on the Spectrum U.S." Season 2 includes both returning and new members. From Season 1, Michael, known for his love of retro themes, and the pair Mark and Chloe, are returning. Joining them are new cast members: 21-year-old racetrack worker Ronan, 27-year-old cosplayer Kassandra, 22-year-old Teo, who has never been on a date, and Jayden, a fitness enthusiast open to dating across the spectrum​.

Further north in San Francisco, we find cast member Steve, a favorite member of the show from Season 1.

Other participants reside outside California. Kaelynn Partlow calls Greenville, S.C., home, and although James hails from Boston, Mass., his second date with Emma unfolds at the Renaissance Festival in Tuxedo Park, N.Y. Director and producer Cian O’Clery, the creative force behind both the Australian and U.S. versions of the show, shared with Today his motivation for taking the show globally. His aim is to showcase a wide array of individuals and their unique stories to a broader audience, highlighting the spectrum's diversity.

O’Clery also mentioned that the casting process was nationwide, with the production team actively reaching out to various autism organizations to disseminate their casting call. The team spoke with numerous individuals across the country, ultimately selecting the diverse group featured in the series.

Love on the Spectrum US season 2 is set to release on Netflix on Friday, January 19, 2024, at 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET.
