The 64-year-old began overwhelmed and broke down in tears as she stated, ’I’m wearing the wedding ring that my father gave my mother.’’She continued to explain that her dad was from Hungary and her mom was from Denmark, disclosing, "They had nothing, and they became these monstrous stars in this industry."

Having the speech on stage, she mentioned that her parents were also actors, and she talked about her passion and gratitude for her profession. The star went on saying, "I love actors. I love acting. I love the job we get to do. I love being a part of a crew. I love being part of a cast. I love what we do with each other. It’s such a beautiful job."She also understood the obstacles that will come to her in this industry, realizing that a lot of actors don't find jobs, and spent nights asking herself, "Is that ever going to be possible for me?"

Then, Curtis declared how proud she was to nail it, saying, "I’m 64 years old and this is just amazing!’’ She expressed her admiration for her 60-year-old co-star, actress Michelle Yeoh, disclosing that she appeared in the movie just to have a chance to work with her.Jamie Lee finished her speech by declaring, "What a dream..."
Curtis also said to reporters that she put on her mother's wedding ring because she desired to "bring" her parents to the ceremony. She claimed, “This morning, I was grabbing my jewels to put on for tonight, and I saw it in a little box, and I thought about my parents, and I wouldn’t be here without them.” This ring is undoubtedly the luck of the award-winning actress, and we're sure her parents would've been incredibly proud of their daughter's achievement.
